Languages are a core activity of many of the cultural institutes in the EUNIC network. EUNIC stands for European Union National Institutes for Culture.
The network brings together 29 organisations from 25 countries. Some have a global coverage: Goethe Institute, British Council, Alliance Francaise for example. Others focus more on Europe: Romanian Cultural Institute, Czech Centres, Hungarian Institutes and some work without branches, SICA in the Netherlands, Swedish Institute , Culture Ireland.
